Happy Birthday to Grace

Here's my family -- Mommy, Daddy, Carter and me -- singing "Happy Birthday" to my cousin Grace, who lives far, far away in Florida. We also sing "Sto Lat," which is a Polish folk song whose words translate to something like this:

"Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
Good luck, good cheer, may you live a hundred years.
One ... hundred years!"

Angry Beavers!

A story by Liam:

Once upon a time, there was a river heading to a playground that had all kinds of things to play on. It had a spinning wheel, and pets, and all kinds of things.

One time, a person built a bridge, and a beaver came and made a dam. Then some rescuers came and poked a hole in the dam and the water came through. The beavers were really mad!!!

They made a new dam and then a whole bunch of water came. Then they could swim.

The end.

Kindergarten

Here I am on my first day at kindergarten!

Goose gets in on the act

My little brother, Carter, heard about my blog, and now he wants to get in on the action. He told me and Daddy the following story while we were sitting in the car waiting for Mommy to finish grocery shopping:

Once upon a time, there was big lion swimming in the sea. Then, there was a pirate ship. The lion went sneaking on it, and the police came and took him to jail.

Then, there was a big pile of leaves on the ship, and it flew off because it was windy. They went everywhere!

All the pirates walked the plank.

The end.

My first story

Once upon a time, there was a lion named Lilly. He had five friends, Panda, Monkey, Tiger, Leopard and Giraffe.

One time, Giraffe had a stick. He made a party flag with the stick. He had a piece of paper and he began to draw: "Party Here at Giraffe's House! Be sure you come! Seven o'clock!"

His friends came for the party, and they brought lots of decorations. Panda came to the party, and he was in charge. New animals came to the party that they'd never seen before.

Then hunters came, with swords, and they tore the party up. The animals chased the hunters away and said, "Don't come back here any more."

The animals locked the gates, then they made the party all fancy again.

The end.
